Fiat Chrysler Automotive (FCA) revealed plans for an all-new Jeep Grand Wagoneer all the way back in 2011, but the wait might finally be over.

Speaking to Top Gear at the Geneva Motor Show, Jeep CEO Mike Manley acknowledged the long wait by saying “We’ve been working on it for several years” and noted the SUV has had a “long gestation period.” The model is expected to be unveiled next year and Manley confirmed it will be “super premium” and “clearly positioned significantly above [the] Grand Cherokee.”

Pricing remains unclear but the Grand Wagoneer will compete with luxury SUVs such as the Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon Denali, and Lincoln Navigator. This likely means pricing will start somewhere between the $66,200 Yukon Denali and the $74,695 Escalade.

If those prices are correct, the model would be significantly more expensive than the rest of the Jeep lineup. However, it’s not unheard of as the Grand Cherokee SRT starts at $67,395 while the Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee Trackhawk begins at $85,900. Manely even suggested there could be more luxurious versions of the Grand Wagoneer in the future as he previously said “pushing the car up to $130,000 to $140,000 may be possible.”

Besides talking about the Grand Wagoneer, Manley said “I believe there is an opportunity to do an A-segment SUV, something smaller than Renegade.” Little is known about the model but previous reports have suggested it could be sold exclusively outside of North America where smaller vehicles are more popular.

We’ll learn more about Jeep’s future plan this summer as Manley confirmed FCA’s latest five-year plan will be revealed on June 1st. The executive declined to go into specifics but he said the company has “very significant” plans for electrification. The company has already dipped its toes in these waters as the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine on the Wrangler features an eTorque system. Manley has also previously revealed a Wrangler plug-in hybrid will arrive in 2020.
