Top 30 Best-Selling Vehicles In America - February 2017

The Ford F-Series secured its position as America's best-selling line of vehicles thanks to a 9% year-over-year increase to 65,956 units in February 2017. Sales of the second-ranked Chevrolet Silverado jumped 17%, but even if F-Series sales had fallen 16%, the Ford would still have topped the February 2017 leaderboard.

Combined, the Silverado and its GMC Sierra twin outsold the F-Series by 2166 units in February but trail the F-Series by 6544 units through the first one-sixth of 2017. These three pickups, together with the Ram P/U, owned 13% of the U.S. new vehicle market in February 2017.

The Nissan Rogue, Honda CR-V, and Ford Escape each managed to outsell all passenger cars. Four cars – Camry, Corolla, Civic, Altima – trailed the three crossovers, which trailed the three pickups.

Compared with February 2016's version of this list, the Nissan Versa and Ford Edge were both knocked out of the top 30. In their place, February 2017's list includes the Subaru Outback and Hyundai Elantra.

Throwing all those vehicles into one group results in this list of the 30 best-selling vehicles overall. We end up with five pickup trucks, one minivan, twelve cars, and twelve utility vehicles.
