Mercedes GLC350e the new darling in Finland

Finland has become one of my favorite markets to report, because news are always good, March confirmed that trend, with a total of 218 EV's were sold in Finland, up 74% YoY, with the EV Share up again to a record 1,8%.

Looking at the models ranking, the Mercedes GLC350e is the new "It" model, rising from #15 on 2016 to an untouchable leadership, with 124 units, 67 of them last month, a new record.

The remaining podium belongs also to SUV's, with last year leader Volvo XC90 PHEV being a distant Second, with 56 units, followed by another Minivan-on-stilts, the Audi Q7 e-Tron (54).

Special mention to the Nissan Leaf, Second in March with 21 units, its best result in over a year, pulling it to #8.

Off-topic: What's up Nissan? Did you went all March Madness sales with the Leaf? The oldtimer is selling like hot cakes everywhere!

Underlining a positive month for BEV's (+100% YoY) are the five registrations of the Renault Zoe, no doubt ZE 40 units, a somewhat interesting result considering that before March, the French hatchback had only registered two units...Ever.

It seems that thanks to the 300 kms real world range (200 in the winter?) of the ZE 40, the Zoe found a new breakout market.

Looking at the manufacturers ranking, Mercedes (26%) is the new Top Dog, followed by BMW (16%) in Second, with Tesla and Audi in Third, both with 11%.
